First ever Walmart Beauty Box Arrived!

Today I got my first ever beauty box from Walmart! This is the spring box and it was $5.00. It's a seasonal box so it's $20 for the whole year. In this box, I received L'oreal shampoo/conditioner samples, John Freida shampoo/conditioner samples, Tresemme Dry Shampoo, Dove Dry Oil, Dial exfoliator, St. Ives face mask, Nivea body lotion, coupons from Covergirl and Nivea and best of all, a Hard Candy lip stain. Definitely worth $5.00!

Favorite Products Discovered in 2014

I love EOS lip balms. I love the convenient circle shape of the package and the texture of the product. It always leaves my lips feeling smooth and not balmy. This is why I had to purchase the limited edition Rachel Roy collection. These are new flavors and colors that no one else has. Flavors in this set include St. Barth's Sunrise - Pink Grapefruit, Aloha Hawaii - Strawberry Kiwi, and Indian Summer - Orange Blossom. I keep one of these in every purse I own and in all my makeup bags. It's my favorite lip balm and I think I have almost every color/flavor!

The NYX Wonder Stick is a great tool for highlighting and contouring. I had always tried to do this technique but the Wonder Stick makes it easy. It's a 2-in-1 product that keeps your face looking fantastic.

Frederic Fekkai Hair Fragrance has been a life changer. I straighten my hair constantly and sometimes it smells like it. I used to sometimes spritz my favorite perfume on my hair but I read that was very bad for your hair and that it damages it. I used to use shine spray for the scent but then Frederic Fekkai came out with these great hair fragrance mists. This one is rose scented and it works like a charm.

One Direction Limited Edition Makeup Tins

I just received 3 of the brand new One Direction Limited Edition makeup tins!

5 Limited Edition Tins are available (1 for each band member).

I was really looking forward to receiving this product. I got the package yesterday and was at the mall today and saw it being sold at Macy's and Lord & Taylor for $29.99. Below is what is included in each tin and also my review of all the products.  If you read to the bottom you will see my finished look and also a GIVEAWAY!

Tins include:

Eye Shadows:
Nobody Compares- Metallic silver
Tell Me A Lie- Metallic nude pink
Same Mistakes- Metallic mint
I Would- Smokey brown shimmer
Summer Love- Smokey purple haze
Everything About You- Smokey black shimmer

These eyeshadows were very vibrant. I was pleasantly surprised. I applied "Nobody Compares" as my foundation and then did a little bit of "Same Mistakes" on half of each eyelid. I love metallic eye shadows and this one did not disappoint. The silver and green really complimented each other.

Eye Pencil:
I Want- True matte black

I thought this eyeliner crayon worked great. The color was a matte black and it went on more like a gel than a pencil. It didn't smudge or run at all. Solid.

Lip Gloss:
Loved You First- Bubble gum pink
One Thing- Frosted pink ice
Irresistible- Shimmered pearl
Heart Attack- Creamy rose shine

I mixed "Irresistible" and "Heart Attack" together and applied by hand, though they do provide a lip brush to apply. This was more of a lip balm than a gloss in my opinion. Not very noticeable.

Lip Gloss Top Coat:
Over Again- Silver glitter sparkle

I was very intrigued by this silver glitter lip gloss. From the bottle, it looked like pure glitter would be on my lips. Luckily, it came out much less gaudy. The glitter was much less noticeable and it has no taste, which is great for a lip gloss.

Nail Varnish:
Stole My Heart- Magenta pink shimmer
Alive- Multi-coloured glitter flakes

I tried out "Alive" on top of a pale pink I already had on my nails. I love glitter polish and was very pleased with how this one applied. The glitter is sheer so you can see your polish underneath. This nail polish is quite small but I love the various sizes of pink, blue and silver glitter in this varnish. I will definitely use again.

These new sets are available in stores November 15th at:
Sears USA
Kmart
Target
Walmart Canada
Macy's
Lord & Taylor

Here is a close up!

My Rimmel Product Review!

I won this great box of Rimmel products via Influenster and am writing a review by choice.

First things first, I have not used many Rimmel products before and was quite pleased with their eye liners. The ScandalEyes eye liners are both waterproof and both were very precise. The Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner was like using a very fine sharpie to draw on your eyeliner. I thought it was very easy to use and looked great. I also liked the Scandaleyes Thick and Thin eyeliner. This eyeliner is also like a marker but with a tip that you can use to make a thick or a thinner line. This eyeliner was also easy to use but I think I preferred the first one personally.

The two lip lacquers I received were from the Rimmel Show Off collection. I received 600 Nude Eclipse, which was honestly the perfect nude lip gloss and 400 Big Bang, which was the complete opposite: a bright RED! I plan to wear both of these and am excited to be gifted a new shade of red. I'm not one to wear a red lip often but having this, I will certainly give it a try! I also really liked the texture and the look of this product.

The last product I received was the Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Extreme Black, which is supposed to grab every lash. I quite liked this product. The first thing I noticed about it was the two tone color of the package. When I took the mascara wand out, I could feel every bristle being pulled passed the opening of the mascara. I really liked this because it makes the mascara less clumpy when you put it on your lashes. I will definitely use this mascara. I liked it a lot more than the Rimmel Retro Glam mascara I received in my last Voxbox.

*I was gifted these products by Influenster and Rimmel. All opinions expressed in this blog post are my own. #InfluensterChamp #Rimmel

L'oreal Extraordinate by Colour Riche = my new summer lipgloss

Today I got a package from Cosmopolitan. I tore it open and inside was a free L'oreal lipstick. I love free stuff but wasn't expecting much. I immediately tried the product. When I twisted it open, I realized this was a lipgloss in lipstick packaging, which was a happy surprise. The color is Blushing Harmony and was the perfect shade of pink. Not too light and not to bright. It goes on like a gloss and gives color that you would expect from a lipstick. Apparently, it has a revolutionary new formula: rich like a lipstick, shiny like a gloss and smooth like a balm. Basically it's the perfect no fuss lip gloss and the applicator goes on incredibly smooth. I want it in all 16 colors!!! Highly recommend!
