Decluttering Your Life
I am in the middle of decluttering and I have come to the conclusion that I should definitely be on that show Hoarders. I have discovered a headband I wore in kindergarten, an Ace of Base tape, numerous children's books, friendship bracelets and lots of other old junk. I thought I was being sentimental but this is definitely beyond that.
Do you keep any old things that you should probably get rid of?

My room right now is like a beautiful disaster.

Wine-tastic
I just have to share this great invention I discovered on wineinnovations. It's called the tulip and it's disposable wine. How cool is this?

Call Dakota Fanning...
let me tell you a little story about something I don't like. I came back to my room a little past 2am and was about to get into bed when i saw a teensy, tinesy spider on my pillow. At first, I spazzed out but realized that was ridiculous because I could crush it in a hot second and be done. Then after I had escorted the spider safely down the drain, I looked up and saw another spider coming from above my bedroom window. I killed that one too but refuse to sleep in my bedroom for the next 2 days. Has anything like this ever happened to you?
Someone call Dakota Fanning because this is not Charlotte's Web!

Nook: My Story
I love this commercial for Barnes and Noble's Nook. It is so cute and girly. I couldn't help to fall in love with it. Definitely one of my favorite tv ads. What do you think?

Silly Bandz
Remember back in the day when Beanie Babies were all the rage? Well now a days people are collecting Silly Bandz. They are sort of the new friendship bracelet. You buy them, trade them, wear them, collect them. Basically, what ever you feel like doing with them. Have you heard about these? What do you think? Love them or hate them?

Hour Magazine's Best of Detroit Party
This past Thursday, I attended Hour Magazine's Best of Detroit party. It was fantastic. There was food from all the best places in Detroit and people dressed to the 10s. There was great music also. Above was a cupcake tree from Just Baked.

Summer Must Haves
From left to right:
1. Goody spin pins: perfect for the messy summer bun and the hottest thing for your hair since bumpit. I know, I will pretty much buy/try any new hair product that they throw on tv but spin pins actually really hold your hair up. Fight the war on ponytail lines with spin pins!
2. Metallic Red Chi Iron: I just bought this iron and as a Chi fanatic, I love it. You can use it to straighten or curl your hair and it gets hot super quickly. It also came with 2 nail polishes.
3. Purple nail polish (Nicole by O.P.I. Light A Candle shown): I love, love, love purple nail polished this season. Any shade or brand will do.
4. Floral reed diffusers: Scented candles are out of date so pick up some summery flower scented reeds to celebrate summer. (this one is available at Target)
5. Rubber duckies: They may belong in the bathtub but maybe it's time to bring yours to the pool. Bigger and better waters.

Earthquake
In some not such sweet news, there was an earthquake in Ontario that was felt throughout Michigan, Ohio, NY, Illinois, Pennylvania and etc. It had a magnitude of 5.5. My best friend is in from LA and earthquakes are basically her 6th sense. She always thinks there is an earthquake and being from Michigan, that doesn't happen often...aka ever. Today, though, she was right. Crazy!

The night I went to a BSB concert...
So tonight I went to a Backstreet Boys concert. Talk about a throwback. Remember when there were 5 Backstreet Boys? Well at this concert, there was only 4! I honestly couldn't believe how many other people thought going to see the BSB was a good idea. Personally, I thought it was a good excuse to drink hard. We ended up upgrading our lawn seats to pavillion and thank god we did. The weather was perfect when we got there 85 degrees and sunny but before the end it was a tornado warning and pouring rain. The BSB concert was good but I kind of wish Justin Bieber was there. Wow, how pop music has changed. Oh, teenage heartthrobs!

Glitz & Glam
I just got this new chandelier in my room and I literally light up whenever I see it. It is so detailed and elegant. It has pink roses and crystals that give it a vintage look. I love it!

Real Housewives
So I've got to admit, I'm kind of a whore for bad reality tv and right now I am loving Bravo's the Real Housewives of New Jersey. There is so much drama, it's like a trainwreck and I can't stop watching. I really despise Danielle Staub...most people probably do. She really plays the villain well. I'm sad Dina is leaving the show. I love to read the cast blogs.

Julie and Julia
I just watched Julie and Julia and I have got to admit, that movie certainly makes blogging look like fun. I just saw it playing on tv and googled it and I did not realize that the blog is real and actually looks just like it does in the movie. Did you see this movie? What did you think?

Do it Yourself!
I love cute things you can make all by yourself.
I was especially impressed with what they did to this plain white tee on psimadethis.com.
