Mingle Mondays

Hi Dolls,

The fab blogger, Meg, of Life of Meg, has what she calls Mingle Mondays, which is a chance to "mingle" and meet new blogs. I thought this would be a great opportunity for all of us to find more great blogs and increase our readership!

The End of an Era

NOW & THEN

How different do they look? So many new faces. LOL.

The Hills ending is like the end of an era. Being the same age as Lauren Conrad, I always felt like I was friends with LC, Heidi and the rest of the Hills kids. Now that they have all split up and their show is ending it is very bitter sweet. Bitter because of the way they ended the show, which was a total buzzkill; Sweet because it was seriously the beginning of reality TV and it was great when it first began. I feel like even though the Hills was partially scripted, MTV really showed the growth of these people from high school to their 20s. Sure, there was drama, but what 20 year old doesn't have drama in their lives?

By the way, I think they should do a follow up show with all the people from Laguna who weren't on the Hills. I am curious as to what they do.

Below are the gorgeous girls of the Hills!

Whitney and LC, from Teen Vogue closet interns to fashion designers

Cheers!

Stamp Stupidity

So today I went to the post office to mail out a book someone had bought from me on Amazon that I had posted like 2 years ago, so obviously I was pleasantly surprised. I rushed off to the post office, addressed the package and put a return address label on it. When I got to the front of the line, the post office man looked at me all weird and ripped off my return address label. Luckily, before I said anything stupid, he informed me that I put the label on the corner where the stamp is supposed to go...

Fail times! So in honor of the stamps I forgot to post, here is a collection of stamps I have collected...virtually, of course!

Cameron in the City

Harper's Bazaar came in the mail today and I loved the photo shoot they did with Cameron Diaz. It looks  like she was taking on NYC. Larger than life. I love the outfits and the skyline and I especially love her picking up the taxi cab.

What do you think about this photoshoot?

Because I Love Headbands More Than Blair Waldorf...

I seriously heart headbands so I am not just doing this for nothing...well, okay, maybe I am just doing this for my nothing; but I am enjoying it! I'm going to call this my Ode to the fabulous Blair Waldorf.

For inexpensive headbands, I always head to my go-to place, Forever 21. Obvi.

One of my favorite headband designers of all time is New York Nat. She is from Michigan (just like me!) and her headbands are sold at Henri Bendel in NY.

I love this headband I found on Etsy made by ClemmieSue.

This Cara "Glam" Headband is soft lilac and available at Nordstrom.

This Juicy Couture Flower Headband is bright and flowery.

Jennifer Behr Animal Print headband from Saks 5th Ave is fierce.

This Coach Pierre Le-Tan Floral Scarf would look great tied around my hair!

Which is your favorite?

Make It Rain

I was ecstatic when I looked out my front door and saw my new Burberry Lace Check Rain Boots had arrived! Online shopping is seriously such a great experience. I love getting packages in the mail. It reminds me very much of that one line in "Confessions of a Shopaholic," where Rebecca Bloomwood says, "They didn't even need any money, they had magic cards."

Love them! Now I just need it to rain!

Oh, for the love of Burberry!

Have Your Cake...& Eat It Too!

Yum. I have to post one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen.

This cake was found on Amy Atlas' blog, Sweet Designs.

Escorting this cake was a lot of other beautiful little delicacies including jeweled macaroons and milk chocolate pearls.

The pastries were made by the caketress.

Props to her as I am salivating!
